My kitchen is piled high with dirty dishes, recycling that needs to be taken out, and the rotisserie I have to return to my parents.

Wolfling's laundry is on the floor in front of the washer and drier, half blocking the door to the garage.

My beads and beading supplies are all over my dining room table.

I have recycling piled next to my command center desk, and I need to sort my papers.

I have three or four stacks of books on the living room floor.

I have three additional stacks of books on the stairwell, plus assorted other stuff to take upstairs.

I have piles of laundry on my bedroom floor to do, and my bed should be changed.

My parents' air mattress is still on the floor of my upstairs office -- which does not yet look like a consulting space.

And I was doing so well there for a few months. . . .

*sigh

You know, this is why people hire housekeepers. :)
Anyhoo, one pile at a time, don't worry bout the whole big mess or you'll probably end up hiding out.
I know I would.

Which is exactly what I'd do if I had the discretionary income!

Wolfling and I cleaned the kitchen last night and ran the dishwasher after dinner, and even that much makes me feel better.

Well, I'm glad you feel better.
Once upon a couple of times I got myself a submissive houseboy entirely for the purpose of doing my chores. Ended up that I could clean it better myself and it took too much energy to put up with another person in my home.
So I gave up trying that idea.
Maybe if someday I happen to come across someone that I love muchly that wants to do my chores then I'll let em. I'd have to like em a bunch though.
Meanwhile I do my chores a bit at a time.
My boo is responsible for the kitchen and I'm responsible for the bathroom.
And we agree that we don't bitch about the others undone housework.
We both do the vacuuming, though he does it more often.

The bathroom could seriously use some help. :) I'll do it when I'm ready.

One of the many things I miss about being with _Storyteller_ is that he used to take pleasure in doing a lot of the cooking and the kitchen cleaning. I did my best to not take advantage of this lovely characteristic, working along side him --- but it's certainly true that it's harder to keep up with things without having a partner like that around.

I still need to buy a really good vaccuum. Wolfling has been trailing a blanket around the living roon that sheds big dark clumps of fuzz all over our light colored carpet. *sigh

:) Yah, my partner would make a good househusband but that's not to be at this point.
