I just found myself musing that conceiving, being pregnant, giving birth, and raising another child seemed like a really nice idea.

WTF??

REALLY!!


Being a good mother to Wolfling is more than enough of a challenge, thank-you-very-much.

Besides, I hated being pregnant, and was miserable the entire first year of Wolfling's life.


Maybe I need to check in with my subconscious and find out what other things I would like to symbolically or archetypally conceive and bring to birth. . . .

I've had a couple of those attacks. They left me wondering what aliens had taken over my brain for the duration. I was very glad not to have gotten caught up in them enough to actually DO something in that direction. Not that I likely would have succeeded, given my track record, but still.

I think you're right though that you may be actually wanting to create a "child" rather than a literal child.

I used to get these when Wolfling was about three or four years old. I considered them entirely hormonal -- but if I hadn't been separated from the Ex by that time I might have ended up with another child.

That sounds like a really good idea. A lot of my broodiness resolved when I realised that a large part of the problem was that my inner child had a lot of unresolved insecurities and wasn't getting the attention she needed to deal with them. (Not saying that's what's going on with you, just echoing that it may be about something else than what appears on the surface.)
