Doggie!

This is Pepper, daughter of Tinkerbell -- which I mention only for the one non-family member on my friends list who knew the Tinkerbell who was our miniature dachshund while I was growing up. This is young lady is no relation, of course.



She's seven weeks old and still can be held easily in one hand.
For not being "a pet person," I find her utterly delightful.

Awww. She's a cutie!

I adore dogs. I'm convinced the Goddess put dogs on this earth to show people how to live.

Okay, dogs, what's important in life?

1. Being with the people you love ... and you should love anybody
you can

2. A good meal ... and a snack ... and anything that looks as if it
might be tasty, as long as it hasn't been lying on the ground since the
Reagan administration :-)

3. Play! Let's play! Oooh, there are so many cool things in the world
to play with! Blowing leaves! Running squirrels! Isn't life FUN!

4. Life is short; live in the moment.

5. Anything that isn't horrible is potentially enjoyable, if you approach
it with the right attitude.

When I have learned all of these lessons, then I will be as wise as a
dog. :-) As far as I'm concerned, when someone says they don't like
dogs, that's like saying they don't like life.

I think maybe my husband was a dog in his last life; it would explain a lot of why he's so adorable. :-)
