Wonderful Mail Day!

I just went upstairs and got the post.

In it were:

1. A lovely/perfect panda Christmas card from kateri_thinks

2. The next volume of Fables: a comic series about fairy tale characters living in modern New York (highly recommended!)

3. A DVD of Buckaroo Banzai

4. A Christmas present from Jeannie! She sent me a two-part wooden yin-yang candle holder, with candles. How did she know that that symbol has become so important to me over the past few months? It's kind of funny: last year she gave me a water gift, this year it's fire and earth.

I'm happy.

My daughter is home now, so it's time to marshal my resources and be present for her.
