Friday: sore throat and tired, stayed home from work, slept most of day

Saturday: felt better, enjoyed good times with both [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ and [livejournal.com profile] uncrowned_king, although next to none of it went as planned.

Sunday: enjoyed homemade french toast, courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_, but quickly realized I was getting sick again. Spent the day feeling worse and worse, although [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ continued to take care of me, keeping me hydrated, cuddling me, fixing a wonderful dinner I ended up not feeling well enough to eat, and being patient and loving all day long. We also watched The New World, which didn't help anything. I bottomed out with a 102.8 degree temperature in the evening. Called the doc, who recommended ibuprofin and fluids and said she'd email my clinic that they should give me an urgent care appointment the next day. [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ tucked me in and went home. Fever broke a couple of hours later, Advil helped the sore throat.

Monday: Sore throat back with a vengeance, even though fever virtually gone. Let work know I wasn't coming in, asked manager to complete my timesheet for last week before the 9am deadline, went to doctor. Viral infection was the verdict: fluids, rest, ibuprofin, chicken soup. Cepacol for the throat.

Home again, medicated, I'm going to try LJ for a while, but will probably go back to bed very soon.

That sounds pretty awful. I hope you get lots of rest and feel better, soon.

Awr. :( Feel better! I'll keep you in m'prayers.

Something that might bring a wee smile to ya--I got not one, but two of my old tarot decks back this week. Might be able to take y'up on that earlier request/musing. I still need to get reacquainted and comfortable with my deck.

I hope you're feeling better now ... what a yucky thing to have. Be gentle with yourself for a while. You know the drill. A good deal of rest in equal measure with warm liquids. Take it easy, yes?
