When my daughter, a wildlife lover, was very young, I wouldn't let her watch "Croc Hunter" because I felt he was a poor role model for kids. When she got older, and we could discuss why she shouldn't approach dangerous animals the way he did, I let her watch. At first he drove me crazy, but he grew on me over the years. His hyper-enthusiasm was often laughable, but the more I watched, the more his passion seemed genuine.
He will be missed.
I am not looking forward to having to tell my daughter about this in the morning.
