I had a really good weekend.

Saturday morning was spent cleaning house with The Daughter, going to the grocery store, and generally getting house and self in order for the party.

[livejournal.com profile] lexicat dropped off [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves around 4pm and stayed to chat for a while, then departed shortly before the other women were to arrive. [livejournal.com profile] kateri_thinks and [livejournal.com profile] jaynefury were there from around 5pm to 10-ish, and [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves and I crashed soon after they left.

The next morning we slept in a bit, then my daughter came with [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves and me to breakfast at IHOP. The rest of the morning was spent talking. Naps were taken. More talking, then a visit to see [livejournal.com profile] bookchick (who hadn't been able to come to the party) to see her new house and return the camping gear she and her husband loaned me when I went to the canyon, then back to my place for a couple of tarot readings, and then [livejournal.com profile] lexicat arrived again to take [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves to her next social engagement: [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves being one of the best-connected -- and possibly most widely-adored -- person I know. ;-)

After she was gone, the daughter and I cuddled for a while. She had been very good all weekend: patiently and cheerfully doing lots of chores on Saturday, being charming and not too persistently present during the party and during [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves's visit, and I really owed her some connection time. I did need to take some time to myself too. As much as I loved the visits, as an introvert, I need certain amount of solo time, or I spontaneously combust. I took some LJ time while the daughter did her math homework and practiced her cello, then she and I worked on a difficult puzzle we've had for months. She got ready for bed, I lit another fire-log, then we cuddled up on the comfy couch to read Peter and the Starcatchers (which had been missing for a week, but which I finally found after the party -- someplace where I know I have looked before -- clearly the house spirits have been miffed with me for some reason), then bed for her. I played a few rounds of Alchemy (a solitaire game), then turned out the lights and spent some time in prayer.

Then off to bed.

I don't particularly want to go to work this morning. Not because I don't feel well, but because I feel so good and so "in myself" here at home, and I'd like to enjoy the feeling longer. Instead, I shall have to concentrate on taking it to work. That, and my awareness of the Kingdom.

It's a small world after all... I think I know [livejournal.com profile] lexicat. A brief look at her LJ kind of confirms this. Not know as in person mind you, but as a distant online friend. *ponders* That or I am very tired and confused about all of this. But I think she used to participate in a wheel of time story board called white tower online. Like I said, I could be confused. She also has another person on my friends list on her friends list, the warrior woman [livejournal.com profile] ockamsrazor. Who I added a while back on a whim.

This now ends my blantant disruptive hijacking of your livejournal.
