Too Much

I just asked for -- and was approved -- to take a vacation day tomorrow. I've got so many conflicting stresses and needs right now I'm almost immobilized here at work.

Fortunately, kateri_thinks should be here in less than an hour to go to lunch with me, and that should make it possible to survive the rest of the day.

Feeling Better

I'm home.
I'm dressed in my comfy clothes and bare feet.
I have my favorite beverage.
I have warmed-up leftover shrimp and penne pesto pasta.
I have Becket and Masada* on DVD and volumes 8 and 9 of Sandman.
There's a fire in the fireplace.
I have the day off tomorrow.
I have a massage scheduled for right after I drop the daughter off at school tomorrow morning.
I intend to spend the entire rest of the day (until the daughter comes home from school) immersed in spiritual pursuits.




*I'm not going to watch either Becket or Masada tonight, because they're too tragic and intense for my mood just now -- but it's nice to know they are finally in my collection.
