Well, *That* Was Quite A Weekend
Oct. 29th, 2007 07:20 amFriday night: deep, intense grieving. Hard time falling asleep.
Saturday morning: started out okay, fell back into deep grief, developed an energy leak that left me cold at my core. Even a hot shower couldn't warm me. Fortunately, I have allies who helped me repair the damage and rebuild my energy.
Saturday afternoon and evening: conversation and Star Wars game with Hob. I started out as an idealistic Ensign in the ISB (Imperial Intelligence). (Yes, I was a much better spy than I was in my very first gaming experience,

I set a trap for the star destroyer captain who was obviously involved in corruption, but in the end shot my own superior officer after he murdered most of a "cargo" of innocent refugees and then put a blaster in my hand and said, "Finish it, ensign. You've earned it." My character is now on the run with a young orphan girl in tow. It was a good game, but a tough end to play through.
Saturday night: got to bed late, had an alarm go off a midnight, then a nightmare that woke me at 5am and kept me awake until 7:00.
Sunday: quiet but restless day, then headed out to the Dark Tantra class, which turned out to be far less dramatic than the title suggests. Met a lovely woman who was my partner during the exercises, spent 90 minutes talking with her at the play party following the class. Drove across the water, picked up daughter, got to bed late because we took time to connect, then she kept me awake with allergy snuffling, getting up to get a Benadryl, and etc.
Monday morning: out of bed early and left the house early to get to an appointment with a nutritionist on the other side of the water. Did such a good job that I'm an hour early, and so have had plenty of time to type this entry on my gadget.
I'm hoping for a quiet day at the office when I finally get there. I could use a break!
