I'm sorry I don't have decks to share with everyone who asked!

Since she responded first and was the only person to ask for a specific deck, The Goddess Oracle, by Marashinsky and Janto, goes to [livejournal.com profile] seauleja.

[livejournal.com profile] lovetakesyouin gets Goddesses of the New Light.

Please scroll back to the original entry and leave your addresses in new comments -- since responding to your original comments will unscreen them. I'll send the decks out to you asap, happy to know they are going to good homes!

[livejournal.com profile] msharmless, an oracle deck is like a tarot deck in that it has cards which can be used for divination and/or inspiration/meditation, but an oracle deck is not structured like a tarot deck with suites and major and minor arcana. All tarot decks are oracles, but not all oracles are tarot decks. These particular oracles have lovely images of various goddesses from around the world, and are intended to gain insight into which energies are -- or should be -- active in your life. Personally, I prefer the range of options that are present in the tarot, so I haven't used these decks very often. I've occasionally put a single image on my altar or someplace else to try to remind myself to connect with certain energies or divinities, but almost never for divination.

As to whether you need one, I wouldn't say that anyone needs a divination deck -- however I've found tarot to be useful when contemplating options or trying to get more clarity about the issues of a complex situation. If you'd like more info, I'd be happy to discuss it in comments here or more privately in email, or to set up a time to do a phone reading for you, just to let you know what it's like.

The Five Question Meme again --
Leave a comment with a random fact about yourself and I will ask you five questions to post and respond to in your own journal.

[livejournal.com profile] bookchick asked me

1. You are a super-villian. What will be your dastardly deed?
Oooh! Great question!
I think I'll set out to steal the crown jewels of every monarchy, past and present.

2. Name one thing you do every day, purely for yourself (and no, you can't say 'work' or 'being a parent'), that you never thought you'd ever do when you were younger.
There's not much that I do "purely for myself" these days -- but actually, reading and posting to LiveJournal, and partaking in community here, is something I never could have imagined.

3. What is one marketable skill you truly wish you had, but have no desire to go learn now?
I had to think about this one for a while.
Film director is at the top of my list of wistful might-have-beens.

4. What is one purely fun thing that you want to accomplish in the next year?
L&L and I had talked about finally doing my California road trip in late August or early September this year, but first work and moving transitions, then Lohain's death, put an end to those plans. But now that long-time dream finally seems possible, so I'm starting to think about doing it next summer.

5. What is the best and worst about your new place?
The best part is that its not run down the way my old place was. The old place bore all the scars of the floods and my less-than-successful home improvement projects. The new place is solid, with nice carpeting, nice walls, everything works and looks lovely.
The worst part is living next to the swimmning pool, because I'm so easily distracted and upset by the noise, especially in the evening, or when I want to write or do spiritual work. I console myself by remembering that very soon the days will be too cool for swimming.
