This has been one of the most difficult, painful, scary weeks I've had in a very long time.
I wrote an actual post about it Friday morning, but LJ ate it.
Which is probably just as well.
Things have stabilized now, but I'm still very tired.
The important thing I could do something about, I did, and it is making an impact.
The thing I couldn't do much about is stabilizing on its own, but is still far from resolved and bit scary.
In the area of yes-I-can-spell-it-out Good Things:
Last Tuesday, the Ex signed the paperwork which will allow him to pay me my buy-out price for the house. After the holiday weekend, I will contact an escrow agent we worked with before and get a Quit-Claim done, which will dissolve our household partnership. The daughter and I will stay here through June 22, which is her last day of school, and then will probably move in to temporary housing for 2-6 weeks until the apartments we want have an opening.
We saw Pirates 3 on Friday night, which was much better than I expected. Good enough that I want to see it again in a couple of weeks, after the crowds subside a bit.
I'd write a review, but I'm still too tired to think straight.
We were going to visit the Shinto shrine today, but it's raining. (Of course it's raining, it's Memorial Day weekend!) So today we will probably curl up on the comfy couch and watch movies and some of the second season of Babylon-5.
Congratulations to
queenofhalves on finishing her dissertation!!!
