It just makes sense, doesn't it?
Remember the mysterious pool of water on my kitchen floor?
Only a few minutes ago I was sitting here doing my morning LJ read when I heard the unexpected but all-too-familiar sound of water splashing onto the floor.
I raced into the dining room, and there was a copious amount of water dropping through the still unsealed place in the wall-ceiling joint where the drywall was replaced when the pipe replacement was done a few weeks ago. My dinner table was pushed up against that wall, and a print-out about a class I want to take got splashed, but fortunately the water missed some oversize stills and lobby cards from my movie photo collection. (Maybe I should start collecting blow-up rubber balls and pool toys instead??)
When I went upstairs, there was a small pool of water on the floor of the entryway (directly above my waterfall), but no obvious source.
And it was just the one short burst of water coming through to my space. It's not continuing to drip.
WTF????

My day didn't get much better after the water episode this morning.
My boss's travel plans keep changing, so I get to keep calling our travel agents and updating, and trying keep her calendar updated with the correct itinerary details.
Miss V got irritated at me this afternoon -- and with good reason. I evidently didn't read one of her emails closely enough, and sent her some materials this afternoon instead of yesterday afternoon. If there's anything worse than having her snippy with me for no cause, it's her being clipped with me for cause.
And yes, I apologized to her for my error, and told her I had corrected and updated my Task reminder so it wouldn't happen again.
And then we had a deluge, and traffic became utterly snarled, and I quickly realized that there was no way I was going to get to my planned orientation at the Wet Spot this evening.
On the upside, I'll just go with
_storyteller_ and
vsmallgoddess in a couple of weeks.
And I have this cool new "not having a good day" icon, thanks to
x_ishtari_x who generously gave me permission to use it.
