"A warrior's heart, a tactician's mind, and a poet's soul."
I can get behind that.

You scored as William Wallace. The great Scottish warrior William Wallace led his people against their English oppressors in a campaign that won independence for Scotland and immortalized him in the hearts of his countrymen. With his warrior's heart, tactician's mind, and poet's soul, Wallace was a brilliant leader. He just wanted to live a simple life on his farm, but he gave it up to help his country in its time of need.

The Daughter is staying with my folks tonight, which means, for me: homemade nachos, watching Battlestar Galactica -- starting with part 2 of "Acts of Contrition," --- and then doing whatever strikes my fancy.

Possibilities include: a very long, hot bath; finishing the 'liner notes' for the CD I (finally) mailed to [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ today; writing in my journal; working on my novel; or starting to read The Historian, which is a thriller about the search for the truth about Vlad the Impaler. Not a typical interest of mine, but the book looked good.

And speaking of books. . . I just finished You Slay Me, a funny paranormal romance caper. Again, not my usual line of interest. But this was laugh-out-loud funny in many places, and I really liked the sexy love interest who just happens to be a dragon. Not that our heroine is particularly impressed by this fact. Magic, dragons, demons, ancient artifacts, hot sex. . . If you're looking for some a light reading romp, I recommend it.

I'm also continuing to read Lazarus, Come Out, which continues to be engaging and thought-provoking. It does turn out to be very heavy on the Catholic angle, which lessens a bit of the impact for me since that's really not in my background. But my Catholic friends here might find it particularly good reading.
