Less Moody Blue
Sep. 11th, 2005 03:04 pmI did the second coat of blue paint in the bedroom today, and it looks much better: the coverage is even and the color a shade less intense. Tomorrow, after it has dried, I can push my dresser back against the wall, take the things that usually live on it (figurines, small chests, earring rack, etc.) off the kitchen table and put them back, and re-hang my picture. I'll try to get a picture to post.
Now that I feel good about the color and the finish, I can move on to the rest of the room -- but I'm going to have to primer those walls first. Hopefully I can get away with one coat of primer and one of color and not have to paint all the walls three times each -- but I'll do what I have to.
I really did not want to paint today, but the plain fact was that if it didn't happen today, nothing was going to get better in the kitchen or living room. And if I didn't do it, no one else would.
I feel like such a grown-up.
