Color Me Stunned
Aug. 7th, 2005 09:06 pmIt was only last weekend (right?) that I told the Ex that I was fed up with the flooding and the offending shrubbery whose roots were growing into the sewer pipe needed to come out. Given his habit of procrastination (not that mine is any better, I hasten to add) I didn't expect anything to happen unless/until he was nagged.
I got home today after several hours of out and about, and not only had he removed the offending juniper bushes, he had also hacked off the overgrown rhododendron which was obscuring the front of the house, as well as several other unattractive and overgrown shrubberies.
I hastened to express my gratitude and appreciation profusely.
Not only will this mean there is less likelihood of my drains backing up (although I also have procured some professional strength cleaner to send down the pipes once a week), the extra foliage slaughter should allow more light into my basement.
