Vacation Day
Feb. 4th, 2005 11:30 amIt's 11:30am. I got out of bed little more than half an hour ago.
Ten minutes ago, I sent The Child upstairs to borrow the powerful vaccuum because she had dropped the container of Nestle's Quick on the floor in the living room and dumped a pile of powder on the floor.
I had really hoped to have my vacation be childless -- at least during the work day. But she had a fever the last two days (relatively mild, coming and going -- but enough to keep her out of school plus) and is now in the extra 24 hours of "full recovery" time.
Today is not going to be quite as restful or productive as I had hoped. Not in the expected way, anyway. But it will be good to spend some time with her. Once I'm done with my morning electronics, we're going to clear the dining room table and do a puzzle together.
I'm just hoping that I don't get sick. . .
