Via [livejournal.com profile] nixnivis: Take the first sentence from the first entry of each month in 2004 and put it in a paragraph.

Belated Solstice, Christmas and New Years greetings, Everyone! I have been caught in a beaurocratic and emotional nightmare here at work. The owner of this site has taken old-style propaganda posters and upated them for today. I just talked with my dad. The Ex and I had a merrie gathering in our backyard last night: potluck barbecue, drinks, chips, and a bonfire in the brick pit he and a friend built soon after we moved in. We had A Major Traumatic Event at my household yesterday morning. Busy week: busy at work, busy at home, working out, trying to improve my eating habits, visit with my spiritual director yesterday, nice chats with the Ex and his SO, time with the daughter, registering for Fall classes. . . .
I had a long phone conversation with M on Friday night, after having received a quite reasonable response to my "re-setting expectations" email. Yesterday I called the gym and gave them my two weeks notice. I've seen this same thought expressed elsewhere, but particularly liked this utterance: "God has often made saints of scoundrels, but He has never done anything with the half-hearted and the cowardly." Thank-you, [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves and the other folks who recommended that I read The Blue Sword. Life just gets better and better.

And also via Nixie:

If there is at least one person in your life whom you consider a close friend, and whom you would not have met without the Internet, post this sentence in your journal.
