Declaring Victory

I feel utterly exhausted, all out of proportion to the week I thought I was having. But maybe it's simply let-down, because I declared victory over my two big projects today, and now I can relax.

The Mix-n-Munch, which my department hosted this month, the organization of which fell to me, was a roaring success, which I had not expected even 24 hours ago.

I gave my final approval on the newsletter, logo and magnet this morning, after Miss Vicki's boss told me that she thought that logo was (finally) perfect, and that the newsletter "exceeds my wildest expectations!"

Even before success was fully declared, Jeannie said to me, "You've worked hard all week, and you've done a great job. After the Mix-and-Munch is over, I think you should go home a couple of hours early. You deserve it."

My first weekend class of the year is the 25th and 26th, and this weekend, I'll be working on the two 3-page papers we've been assigned. I'm not all that keen on the material so far, but it feels great to be getting back into classwork.

I'm feeling pretty darned good, despite being so tired.
