In Brief

Monday: was asked to pick up medicine for my dad that was not at his local pharmacy. During drive to their house in rush hour, I experienced what felt like my heart suddenly blowing a bubble with one if its chambers - plus light-headedness, and an interruption of my breathing. Still finished the drive, took a nap, went to doctor the next day.

Tuesday: doctor took an EKG, told me everything looked normal, said that I seem to have suffered a panic attack. "But I wasn't panicked," I protested.
"You don't have to feel panic," she replied. "Is there a lot of stress in your life right now?"

Tuesday Night: installing Eudora on my new laptop, was interrupted by a sudden freak thunder and hail storm. Lightning took out our internet provider. No Eudora. No LJ.

Wednesday: Life pretty much back to normal. New computer working. Got good sleep last two nights. Stopped at natural food co-op on the way home and got great vitamins and some healthy snacks.

I'm two days behind in LJ -- and rather more than that in my classes.

Dad continues to improve.

I know most of you have seen this one (since I've seen it on half of your journals): post a fictional memory of me, and then post the meme request on your own journal so others can do the same for you.

I don't have enough creative mental energy to do this for those of you who have already posted the request, but I'm going to be shameless and post the request here anyway.

But I have had a few thoughts. . . .

[livejournal.com profile] toesontheground, I remember that coffee date we had when I visited last summer. We sat outside a little cafe in the sun and talked about religion and activism and the joys and sorrows of love.

[livejournal.com profile] gothic_coop, I remember the weekend we went out playing paintball until late. I got frustrated because I wasn't very good, but you kept making score after score.

[livejournal.com profile] raptures_shadow -- Remember the night we double-dated at the prom?

[livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves -- I remember when we were both at the AARS meeting when you presented your first major paper. I sat in on your session, and then when the events of the evening were over we went back to our hotel room with a bottle of something fine and talked half the night. We were pretty blurry at breakfast the next morning, and drank lots of coffee to try to wake up before the first session.

Those are just the ones that spun off the top of my head.
Must go study now. I have Christian Ethics tomorrow night, and have to turn in a brief statement of what my paper will be about. I am going to look at plural marriage, but haven't yet narrowed it down to a single question I can address in 6-8 pages.

Bedtime by 9:30. I want to feel good physically again. It's been several weeks. . .
