1. You have the opportunity to share any myth/sacred story in any form or medium you want for a large audience. What story would you pick and how would you present it (film? drama? ritual? storytelling? mime?)?

2. What was the first sacred story you taught your child?

3. Plan a dinner party with five other people, famous or obscure, living or dead. Who do you invite? (with explanations for the more obscure : )

The Guest List )

4. Summarize your spiritual journey. Where did you start out, where did you go, and how did you end up a Swedenborgian divinity student?

I Really *Tried* To Be Brief. . .  )

5. On a day-to-day basis, who is your closest friend? What is s/he like?

. . . and it fits rather well.

My inner child is ten years old today

My inner child is ten years old!

The adult world is pretty irrelevant to me. Whether
I'm off on my bicycle (or pony) exploring, lost
in a good book, or giggling with my best
friend, I live in a world apart, one full of
adventure and wonder and other stuff adults
don't understand.

QoS: Daimon, you’ve never walked the road of spirituality with me.

Daimon: You never asked me.

QoS: < blink >

Daimon: Whether thou goest, I will go – so long as you are true to yourself. If this is part of your path, of course I will go with you, and love you every step of the way. You have never believed I could follow you here. It is not that I ever refused to come.

QoS: < remembering a scene from Seonaid's story, in which the daimonic character went to a chapel to wrestle with his desire for a member of another religion, having his own faith standing in the way of union with his beloved >

Daimon: I have never been a priest for you – but I can be. For all your study of sacred sex, all your learning, you have still separated spirit from sensuality and passion.

QoS: They have always been separate for me.

Daimon: We will change that.

[livejournal.com profile] gothic_coop's comment on my Glorious Shadow post reminded me of a favorite series of poems by Ulrich Schaeffer, called Growing Into the Blue.

I went to the volume tonight, to find one that was teasing at my memory, but found this instead: )

Answering [livejournal.com profile] queenofhalves's questions today reminded me of a script I was working on at one time, a version of The Descent of Inanna. Like many myths, the classical version leaves plenty of room for new interpretations and amplifications. I was trying to flesh out some of the scenes while remaining true to the original story and its mood.

The script came to me in pieces. This is one of them.
