Date: 2004-10-26 08:49 pm (UTC)Enchantress from the Stars was the first science fiction book I read (I was in the sixth grade, I think), and it had a tremendous impact on me. I still enjoy it, and hope you will too.
Womanspirit Rising came from your wishlist, and I just happened to be looking at my own copy lately. I read it in 1988, during my last semester as an undergrad, for the class in which I was introduced to the Goddess.
As for Cordelia's Honor, it's an omnibus of two novels. Cordelia and Aral are two of my favorite characters. If I could find a man like Aral I would reconsider my devoutly single life. (Of course, that's the impact space opera heros are supposed to have!) Bujold is not afraid to have fun, but she has some serious themes under romping.
