Back from Pantheacon
Feb. 16th, 2009 08:53 pmI tried to post a couple of times after my Luisah Teish post, but my gadget would never cooperate.
I'm home now, and exhausted, but in a good way.
The highlight of the weekend was not an official Pantheacon event, but receiving ordination from my teacher, and being formally bound with LM in our work together. I received ordination in the names of Ereshkigal and Inanna -- and the transmission of energies was unexpectedly sealed and grounded by an erotic encounter with a "sacred stranger" who offered the first erotic touch I've received since just before the last Pantheacon, and who both treated me and looked on me as if I were a goddess and queen. (No, not anonymous sex. I'll explain more later, when I've had a chance to rest.)
I feel incredibly blessed in my path, in my teacher and friend who has helped me truly become a priestess, in my goddesses who bless me and help give my life meaning, in my husband-king-priest whose love is both steadfast and passionate, in the friends who were happy to see me, in the new friends made over breakfast and in the airport, and in the gracious, funny, insightful way in which the elders of the community shared their experiences and wisdom so the rest of us could benefit.
Part of me was overwhelmed and ready to leave. Part of me wanted to stay in this exceptional place where I was not "weird" and where I did not have to footnote my conversations about the things that matter most to me.

Thank you for the affirmation. There's been so much growth over the past year or so.
