Things That Are Good Today
Dec. 16th, 2007 05:16 pmI visited my friend in the hospital this afternoon.
Healing is progressing, but please continue to send prayers.
I had a good evening with friends last night.
My new perm looks good and makes me feel prettier.
My parents are making filet mignon for my family birthday dinner.
I got to watch the Wolfling arm-wrestling a giant ferret last night (
jillwheezul's Hob).
It was great fun.
This morning I was tired, but found grounding and peace in the practice of my vocation, and was inspired by the remarkable person I'm working with.
I bought a new ring to replace the one I broke.
The flat, white gold band looks very much like the band I broke, but also has a small row of tiny diamonds along the top edge. Buying at the place where I used to work means I got a friends and family discount, which was also nice.
I found and bought Christmas presents for both my parents.
There are flowers, balloons, and chocolates waiting for me at the front desk at work. They arrived after I left on Friday to go to the hosptial, and even though the receptionist (at my request) opened and read the card for me, I have no idea who sent them. Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow.
