Up the Other Side
Oct. 15th, 2006 11:47 amI think I'm mostly recovered. Still not 100%, but I'm no longer worried about a serious relapse.
Of course, I'm staying home from an important work trip that would have involved two cross-country flights in three days -- with a very intense day and a half of work in the middle -- because I was afraid I simply don't have the stamina for it, and didn't want to risk getting sick again.
Yesterday,
_storyteller_ and The Daughter and I finally finished painting my bedroom (30 minutes work), so today I get to move her bunkbed back into place, put the room back into proper order (including getting a bunch of stuff out of the living room), do laundry and put it away, and go grocery shopping. I'd much rather continue to rest, but my house is in dire condition. Fortunately, The Daughter is very good at helping out with household tasks, so I won't be going it alone, or needing to struggle to get her assistance.
The Fall Rains have finally come, which is a relief for the part of me that has hated the unusually warm weather we've been having, but now has me mentally and emotionally preparing to deal with my seasonal flooding. It's time to move the mini pump into the laundry room.
