Good Things
Jun. 6th, 2006 07:51 pm1. An understanding boss who said, "Family comes first. Do whatever you have to do and we'll work it out."
2. An email from Amazon telling me that my copy of Kushiel's Scion is on its way.
3. Being told that other people are having fantasies about me.
4. Sister getting across country safely.
5. No more loud, poop-in-the-house dogs being boarded upstairs.
6. Lots of LJ friends offering emotional and moral support.
7.
queenofhalves coming into town!
8.
_storyteller_ and
vsmallgoddess coming into town two weeks later!
9. Three good books in a row: Harem, Seducing the Demon: Writing for My Life (a writing memoir by Erica Jong), and The Erotic Mind, in which the author looks at "peak" sexual experiences (based on Maslow's observations about self-actualizing people) as a way of better understanding our erotic natures. I'm still working on the third one. And did I mention Kushiel's Scion is on the way??!!
10. Sexual energy in my life again.
11. New plumbing throughout my house.
12. Renewed friendship with someone dear to me, after a rocky couple of years.
13. Being told by someone I love about a dream he had in which I am magical and sexy and sacred all at once.
14. Finding out how good and strong it feels to stand up for myself when it really matters.
15. Knowing how blessed I am in my family and friends.
