Pit Stop

After spending twenty minutes on the same 50 feet of 148th, I took a legal U-turn and headed back the way I came. I don't know if there's a surface street accident ahead, or something on the freeway that's backed up, but traffic is going nowhere.

So I'm sitting in McDonalds having a cinnamon roll and contemplating heading over to Half Price Books across the street and looking for some books I need before venturing into the gridlock again.

Rainy Day

Well, I'm back home again.
The road I usually take to work was closed down when I returned.
The highway was a mess.
I declared my commute over, called my boss, and told him I'd see him tomorrow.

I'm now sitting in my cozy home, with my gas fireplace going, and the rain still coming down outside -- although it finally seems to be easing up.

The downstairs of the apartment complex's office is flooded.

I am not flooded.
