Great New Quote

Don't wait for the light at the end of the tunnel.
Stride down there and light the thing yourself.

Found that at the beginning of the chapter called "Attitude" in Zaida: Belly Dancing for Older Women.

That's marvelous! Do they attribute it to anyone?

Unfortunately not.

She has inspirational phrases like that at the beginning of every chapter, but none of them have attributions. :-(

That probably means she wrote them.

I don't think so, since "Work like you don't need money, love like you've never been hurt, dance like nobody is watching" is one of the quotes -- and I know that's not by her.

Maybe there's an index at the back of the book that cites where the quotes came from? Or a reference on her website? It seems rather irresponsible of an author to pepper a book with quotes and not cite them. Then again, maybe I'm just too anal about it. ;-)

Nope. I checked for that.

And you're not anal about it. Giving proper attributions for quotations is a basic rule as far as I'm concerned, and can even be a legal issue.
