Still Grumpy

There is nothing in my life that I regret as much as my marriage.
If I had one thing in my life I could do over, I would go back and make sure I would never marry The Man One Day to Be Known As The Ex.

[livejournal.com profile] labyrinthnight says she would regret her ex...except The Child came of their relationship, so she can't really regret him too much.

The Child definitely adds an element of tension to that statement -- but yesterday I was so fed up with still having to deal with the Ex that I wasn't in any mood to acknowledge shades of gray.

(Which really indicates how pissed off I was, because usually those shades of gray are very important to me.)

Woooo, yeah, you must have been pissed. I hope you're able to work things out for yourself.

i'm guessing this is related to the water problem? you sound really angry!

It was only tangentially related. . . more like all the stuff that's been happening over the past few days finally reached the point where I was no longer in any mood to be understanding, empathetic, forgiving, or in any other way inclined to rise above my own less-worthy emotions. I was supremely pissed off at the fact that my life was still entwined with his at such close quarters several years after I ended our marriage with the intention of getting entirely free of him.

He's not a bad guy, and the reasons for sharing the duplex remain valid. But there are some days. . . .
