Fun Book!

Thanks to punzel for suggesting Julia Cameron's How to Avoid Making Art! What a delightful, funny, insightful book! I recognized myself on all too many pages, but it made me smile, not feel guilty.

Anyone who has trouble with any kind of creative block should pick up this book. It's all single page cartoons, so it takes little time to read, but the cumulative impact is powerfully positive.

Someone Else

Yesterday I met someone who I ended up telling about uncrowned_king's death.

He then told me about going to bed with his beloved wife six years ago and waking up the next morning to find her dead beside him. No one was ever able to identify a cause of death. She was just gone. He too has remained alive because of his children. He is still wearing his wedding ring.

We looked at each other with a degree of mutual understanding and empathy I've never shared with anyone else about my grief.
