Icon Fun!

Thanks to a post by [livejournal.com profile] violetisblue, I've finally been able to create my own cartoon icon!

Personally, I think she/I looks like Stephanie Zimbalist as Laura Holt in "Remington Steele" -- which was, for a long time my favorite television show.

Hurm. She's a bit smaller than I expected. Maybe I'll go back later and do another one, or save it larger.

Now I really must get back to work on the Ethics paper which is due Thursday evening.

Remington Steele was my favorite show back then, too! Pierce Brosnan still rocks.

Three words: Thomas Crown Affair!
(And Rene Russo Rocks too!)
I'll watch Brosnan in just about anything, and I have to admit to a guilty pleasure in his James Bond.

For two women who have had such different life experiences in some ways, we sure have a lot in common. One of these days we're going to have to get together for a long evening of conversation -- if one or other other of us ever travels to the opposite side of the continenent.

I didn't begin watching James Bond until Pierce started playing him. I still have only seen one or two of the original films, but I've seen all of Pierce's stints as Bond.

I look foward to that conversation. :-)

I *loved* Remington Steele! But I confess I prefer the old skinny, gawky Pierce of those days, the pallid Irishman who ran like a stork, to the bronzed, competent Pierce who plays Bond today. *sigh* Good times, good times.

I have to admit that I love Bond.
But he was wonderful as Steele too. .

Remington Steele, best scene:

Laura's house is burned up. She is sad and vulnerable and says to Steele, "Tonight, I don't think I can say no." To which Steele responds gallantly, "Then tonight I will not ask."

I loved him.

Just reading the brief quotation makes me sigh!
