I got Lancelot described as holding duty and honor above all else. But didn't Lancelot cheat on his king with his king's wife? Apparently duty and honor above all else means something different to different people.

It also highlights a double-standard: in general, Lancelot continues to be thought of as this shiny-bright knight, but Guinevere becomes an archetype of infidelity and dishonor.
