Still no word, a final choice should be made in the coming week. I have been working in the position though for 2 weeks already, so I don't imagine they will choose someone else. It will be nice to be on permanent staff.
What are you looking most forward to with the new position?
I hope it works out for you. It would be nice for you to have the stability and benefits again. You refer to two weeks -- did you leave the place you'd been working? Or just get new responsibilities?
What I look forward to most in the new position is being able to actually own a small piece of the business and not be the gofer for everyone else. I'm looking forward to not delivering any more lunches, not doing other peoples' travel arrangements, not taking notes for meetings where I don't have anything of substance to contribute. And of course I'm looking forward to never needing to deal with Miss V ever again.
