Christmas Movies

My family celebrated Christmas last night. Today the Wolfling is with her dad and his family. I'm about to engage in a marathon of movie-watching.

My sister and her husband gave me season one of Bones as a belated birthday present. I've never seen the show, but she assures me that I'll love it.

My mother gave me the Bogart & Bacall collection on DVD -- and can you believe that I've never actually watched To Have and Have Not? I've also been in the mood for Casablanca recently.

I also have several DVD's from Netflix that I don't want to watch with Wolfling: Pan's Labyrinth, for one. (Although I may wait for [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ to come over to watch that one.)

I may also actually get out of the house and go see Charlie Wilson's War. I still need to see The Golden Compass, but can't do that without Wolfling.

[livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_, [livejournal.com profile] strandsofchaos and I saw National Treasure: Book of Secrets on Sunday afternoon. It was fun and worth seeing, but not as good as the first movie. The best part was Helen Mirren as Ben's mother, a peppery professor who blames her marriage to Patrick on "excitement, adrenaline, and too much tequila" during a treasure hunt.

Casablanca is one of my favourite films. Pan's Labyrinth is great too.

Hope you have a good time !

Perversely enough, I didn't watch either yesterday! But I'll probably watch Pan's Labyrinth this weekend when [livejournal.com profile] _storyteller_ comes over.

Hope you and N are doing well. I've been thinking of you!
Belated Merry Christmas!
