Job

I'm feeling so trapped and frustrated at work it's making me feel physically ill. Not enough to knock me out, but enough to be noticeable.

And then I compound my frustration by thinking I couldn't find another job with the salary and benefits I'm getting if I leave the company -- a self-defeating story I would utterly reject if a friend tried to tell it about her own situation.

I have options. It's simply a matter of looking.

It's not just positive thinking...it's positive FEELING.

Yeah, I'm not buying the self-defeating story, either. I think these emotions and feelings are going to end up being the catalyst that you need to start doing something about changing your career situation. Maybe you don't know, exactly, what that job would be...but the Universe does. Try imagining how you'll feel when you get that amazing job and can tender your resignation with your current job. See yourself going through all the steps you'll need to take to switch over jobs: packing up your old office, learning a new route to work, making new friends, the feeling of relief and release at the thought of never having to deal with Miss V again, the ecstatic post you'll be putting up here to let all your lj - and rl - friends know that you finally landed that wonderful job...that sort of thing.

Who cares if you don't know what this job will be, or where it will be, or what it will be doing? The Universe creates based on our emotions and feelings...so conjuring up in your mind those that you'll be experiencing when you achieve your desired goal, will set things in motion for the Universe to put together a nice little package for you. The trick, is maintaining focus on this over time, so the Universe will actually believe this is what you want.

Okay, now time for me to start practicing a little bit of that myself. *hugs* Good luck with work today. Monday will be over soon.

Good points all, especially this: Try imagining how you'll feel when you get that amazing job and can tender your resignation with your current job.

Thanks.
