A Bit Surreal
Every so often I've posted strips from Irregular Webcomic, a comic strip series done entirely with Legos. The series has a variety of themes, including Star Wars, Ancient Rome, Mythbusters, Death, Cliffhangers (an Indiana Jones spoof), Fantasy (D&D spoof), and others -- including "Steve and Terry," which pokes gentle fun at the Croc Hunter.
In the most recent Steve and Terry story arc, Steve was bitten by a croc while filming a documentary for a Jane Gooddall series on global warming, and was rushed to the hospital. By the most surreal of coincidences, today's scheduled strip shows Steve waking up in a hospital room.

Irregular Webcomic author David Morgan-Mar writes: Wouldn't you know it, this strip that I made nearly a month ago was the strip queued up for today, the day that Steve Irwin has died.
I feel weird, like I've created some strange alternate reality where Steve Irwin has woken up in a hospital bed, rather than now being the subject of grief and obituaries.
I'd swap my moderate success with this comic for that other reality in an instant.
The regular strip is followed by supplemental strip from the Death theme. Steve and various forms of Death have wrestled before, and Steve has always ended up on top, to the point that Death was supposed to leave him alone. This one portrays the Chief of Death declaring that "Death by Being Stung In the Chest By a Stingray" is in real trouble.
Part of me feels a bit strange about laughing, but part of me thinks that if I died suddenly I'd feel fine about receiving a slightly weird tribute like this.
