I hadn't watched The Message since the first time I saw the series, more than a year ago. I'd forgotten how good it was.

I found myself hoping that I'll have people like Mal and Zoe next to me when I die.

Firefly = magnificent. I first got the series from Netflix, on the recommendation of my daughter. I was hooked by the first episode. When I went to watch the second disk, the damned thing was cracked. I was furious! I immediately ordered the series from Amazon.

I was introduced to Firefly by a gaming friend, and was immediately hooked. This marathon was to fully introduce another friend to the series.

I've tried to extend my Firefly mania to everyone I know, but unfortunately it has taken with only a few. The latest are a man and his son who came over to watch Serenity, but I persuaded them to get Firefly under their belts first. We saw the pilot and The Train Job last week, and we're set to watch some more tomorrow. Heh, heh. Another victi ... I mean, convert.

My handle means red tail in French; it's a reference to the red-tailed hawk, a major totem for me.

I can't imagine being able to truly appreciate Serenity without watching Firefly first and gaining an emotional connection to the characters.
