I got about two paragraphs into it and threw it across the room in disgust. The writing style is dreadful, and the "conspiracy" is weak if you already know more than an ounce about the Divine Feminine and the history of the Church's repression of feminine imagery.
But that's my $0.02. I think you'll be bored with it at the very least, since you have more theological education than the average bear.
I would recommend Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco instead. But, like much Eco, it's a doozy. Fun and conspiracy-filled but not fluff by a long shot.
That's been my suspicion: that between my formal theological education and my Grail studies and my involvement in feminist spirituality in various forms, that the themes that have been riveting the general public will be long-familiar to me.
you might. it's a real page-turner. but i personally think it's sexist and full of historical errors, which i wouldn't mind so much in a novel except it insists that they're factual in the preface.
