Admin Day

Today was Administrative Professionals Day -- but it might as well have been Christmas at my desk! After several years of perhaps getting a single card (and that not even from my own boss), I was showered with recognition today: theater tickets, a huge spa gift certificate from Dave, several different floral arrangements, a recognition certificate, gift cards, and etc.

I was overwhelmed!

My day job may not be the most thrilling or personally satisfying of occupations, but I am fortunate that the folks I support genuinely appreciate me -- and demonstrate that appreciation with more than a smile and a "thank you."
