Yeah, Norrington grew on me after viewing the first POTC a few too many times. (At first I thought it was kind of creepy that he wanted to marry Elizabeth. As an adult, he had known her since she was a little kid. That felt a bit weird. Plus, it seemed like marriage was just him completing the next task society expected of him, and Elizabeth was a respectable choice.)
I was actually pretty upset about how sh*tty his life had become in POTC 2. I hope things get better for him in POTC 3.
I'm really hoping that they explore his transformation from "officer and gentleman" to privateer. I hope he's redeemed, that he finds a sense of honor again, even if he doesn't return to his old life.
