We Hates It, Precious!

It's 8:10pm. I have written five so-so pages of my 10-page paper that is due tomorrow.
I want to just grind it out tonight and get rid of it.

I hate feeling this way about academic work.

I hate the fact that I felt so good about this paper a couple of days ago but somewhere between then and now I completely lost any sense of excitement or pleasure.

And I have to remind myself that bitching and moaning and refreshing my Friends page every ten minutes is not doing anything to help get this thing done and out of my hair.

I relate so much that I wasn't sure what to write... every time I see this post, I think I wrote it and I've somehow ended up on my own page.

And I appreciate the LOTR allusion. Seagol/Gollum is a character that illuminates so many different issues in my life, thank you for that!
